2019
Bff tees started as a personal way to show love for my friends by making matching tops that I would force them to wear with me (also helpful for identification on a crowded dancefloor) The original sample was reversible and included two cutouts where my best friend and I have matching butterfly tattoos. Upon being convinced to sell them, they made their debut at Terminal Six Store in 2020- officially launching a very private personal practice into a brand. The garments were constructed from two halves of preloved and hand-painted pieces, and deadstock stretch from the fashion district in Los Angeles. Some tees were simply constructed into old clothes from mine and friend’s closets.
bff tees 2020 is a reminder to not be shy in publicly professing our love
